Wat Room

One of the weirdest dining experiences of my life. Found this place from a reel and thought it would be good to meet a friend as it was halfway between me and her. The restaurant was empty on a Sunday night. It was our group and maybe 1 other table but they left quickly. The food was fine. Like the wings were spicy, the lettuce wrap was like one big wrap, the noodles were not hand pulled nor spicy as advertised and the sushi (sorry no pic was so hungry) was good but not $20+ a roll good. The wildest part was the service. As mentioned one of maybe two tables in the whole place. We had ZERO service, like had to ask twice to get water refilled and ask for chopsticks. My friends and I visited yesterday evening to celebrate a birthday in our party of three. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but one interaction left a sour impression. The main issue was with a drink order. One friend had already enjoyed two cocktails (Red Temple and Wat Room Martini) and then ordered the Silent Sin. While the presentation was beautiful, the taste was extremely unpleasant — it genuinely tasted like cough syrup. After both of my friends tried it, I tasted it as well and agreed. We notified both our server and the manager. The solutions offered were either to make it sweeter or to leave it as-is, as they do not refund or replace drinks. So I can't give this a fair review because I haven't tried the food but so far from what I've tried it's been five star to me. It hasn't been open for that long but it's been really solid! The bar was pretty cool, really chill. Rayven was my bartender and she took care of me. She's super dope so I would definitely go see her again. Let me backtrack, you get there and it's not really a lot of signage so you have to follow the "open" sign but once you get there you can't miss it. It's a red hue over everything so it's really kind of seductive so to speak. Of course you can come with any type of group but at the same time, this is not a place you would go and watch a game at. Absolutely great atmosphere! Loved the decore and the red theme for the place, the drinks were pretty decently made and the service was great! Staff friendly and very attentive for Valentines day volume. The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. Crab fried rice was good but not any better than a local Chinese restaurant and half the price. Would definitely come back for a cocktail and some bites !
