Washington Woodland Estate

We were initially considering hosting our wedding on our property but decided to explore local venues to see if something might work within our budget. A quick Google search led us to Washington Woodland Estate, and after touring the property, it was clear there was no comparison. This beautiful bed and breakfast sits on five manicured acres and offers multiple options for both ceremony and reception layouts. It also has space to house out-of-town friends and family, which was a huge plus. Donna and Mark, the owners, were absolutely fantastic—flexible with our schedules, supportive of our vision, and always accommodating. My husband and I stayed in the Carriage House which exceeded our expectations. The rooms there are spacious, the firm bed very comfortable and the private deck at the back very pleasant. Tea and coffee are available for that early morning cup in the well equipped kitchen. ||||My brother in law stayed in the Rose Room and was also very comfortable.||||Christina helped us to book and confirm the stay and answered all of our questions; it was great to meet her. She is the go to person as she also worked for the previous owners. The current owners made a point of greeting us even though we arrived after check in hours and did not expect to see them. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful our time at the Woodland Estate was. My partner, friend, and I were in town for a wedding, and we shocked to find such a gem only 30 minutes away from Tacoma. Evey thing about our stay was exceptional, from the delicious, homemade breakfasts that we had every morning to the clean and comfortable beds to the beautiful grounds complete with animals, gardens, and a short trail. We stayed in the carriage house which contained a well-appointed kitchen, Murphy bed, hot tub, deck, and laundry room in addition to the expected usual amenities. It was perfect for the weekend, but we could just as easily have spent a very pleasant week there as well! One of the nicest places that I have ever stayed, we look forward to returning in the future!

Perfect retreat. We spent the past few nights in the carriage house and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage is well equipped, tons of extra blankets and towels are available if needed, the master bed and murphy bed were both comfortable. The estate is far enough from busy roads to be peaceful, just a minutes away you can find miles of walking trails. We'd expected to spend 2 days hiking but the estate is so restful we ended up spending an entire day chillaxin', reading on the patio, wandering the garden paths, and petting the goats and mini horses. We will definitely be back again. This would be a beautiful location for an intimate wedding, incredibly picturesque.

An absolutely gorgeous estate! The grounds are immaculate and full of seasonal flowers. The rooms were lovely, and Mark, Donna, Colleen, Bob, and Christina could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We rented all of the rooms and the carriage house during a nearby wedding, and everyone loved it there! Clean, well appointed rooms and public spaces and fabulous breakfasteach day. We hated to leave for family events elsewhere! So peaceful. This will be our go-to spot for future trips to the area.
