Customer Reviews
New spot opened up! The tempura/fried dishes are soooo good. Sushi, hand/rolls are sooo fresh. There’s garish and toppings that enhance the sushi! Love it. Would recommend! Can’t wait for their alcohol license it come through. This place will be a regular.
If you've ever been to Japan and like Izakaya food with the chill vibes then Wakaba is the place to go. Having moved from Japan few months ago my Japanese wife said the food was very authentic and was what she was missing from back home. It makes sense after she spoke with the head chef, Yoshi san, who is from Japan and is known and praised throughout the Japanese restaurant communities in LA! Also a plus side is the prices are great for LA and the quality of the food you get! When you try the food you can tell each plate is made with care since they're made from scratch and come out hot and fresh! Definitely recommend the seafood teppanyaki, the agedashi tofu and ebi tempura!
We’ve been several times and are thrilled to have this spot in the neighborhood. Everything we’ve had has been enjoyable - perfect light tempera, fresh flavorful sushi (great seared salmon belly) and rolls (we love the ume shisho q) fantastic and yellowtail collars. Lovely interior, great service. We look forward to returning soon!
Amazing place! The food was really good. I went there with my besties, and we had such a great time because the atmosphere was so nice. The food was amazing (especially the tempura, steak, and all kinds of fish)!!! I’ll definitely bring my whole family next time :)
I ordered the lunch set of pork cutlet. The volume was amazing! The sauce is sour, so even though it is fried, it is light and easy to eat. The miso soup that comes with the set is also delicious. I would like to go there for dinner in the evening.
