Voleo's Seafood Restaurant

We asked AI for an authentic restaurant in the area and we're recommended here. AI can be spotty but this recommendation was not only spot on but was a home run. Every aspect of this restaurant was amazing from the time we walked in the door until we prayed ourselves out of our chairs to leave. Lydia was an amazing hostess, server and cashier. We asked her for a recommendation for which she truly made us excited about each of the few she gave us. We wish we could have tried them all. A group of customers came in shortly after we did and have us glowing reviews as regulars that were totally unsolicited. Rumor is from those folks is that Gordon Ramsey had been there and deemed it the best in New Orleans. Who cares what all these people said because my opinion was the only one that mattered.

Ok, Voleo's! I see you! I was craving some fried chicken other than the usual fast food chains, Popeyes, KFC, Churches, etc.. and decided to give Voleo's a try. Did not disappoint! I loved the crispiness of the skin. The flavoring wasn't too salty, just right, and it was juicy 👌 I also got their muffuletta and thought that it was really good. Not the best I've had but coming in at a strong second 👏

Food was great! Atmosphere was nice and cozy, very home-y vibes. Service was nice and speedy. Definitely recommend the gumbo, I had the chicken gumbo which was delicious. Also had a seafood platter which was solid, and boyfriend had the hamburger steak which he really liked. Overall a great experience and has definitely improved since Kitchen Nightmares! Will be back again!

We called in a few weeks ago while travelling and had an absolutely fantastic meal at Voleo’s Seafood Restaurant. We ordered the seafood platter, along with the seafood dishes, house-tossed salad, and several other items and honestly, everything was spot on. The seafood was fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. The platter was generous and well-balanced, and the house salad was crisp, fresh, and the perfect complement to the meal. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere made it a place you want to sit, relax, and really enjoy the food. You can tell there’s pride in what comes out of the kitchen. Very authentic look and atmosphere, Family owned and operated. If you’re coming to Louisiana I believe this is a must stop to grab a delicious bite. The salad was a good portion, it was my first time trying hush puppies so it’s hard to compare but they tasted very doughy. The BBQ Shrimp was amazing but the bacon could have been a little more cooked. Now for the two entrees, starting off with the shrimp and crawfish fettuccine was cooked to perfection, a nice pasta with a flavorful sauce, the toast was an added bonus. The chicken and oyster noodles were as well delicious but came more watery than the pasta almost like a soup but rich with flavor. This establishment made me feel right at home and very clean with amazing service. I look forward to coming back.
