VK Donuts and Cafe Express

It's alright. I came in around 11am, so I know the donuts may not be the freshest, but they were alright. Different flavors and options, but it was a very simple place. The guy was nice. The experience was okay, I've had better, but I've definitely had worse. Give this place a try, but maybe a bit earlier to get the donuts at peak freshness. It was very cheap, so that's a plus.

The donuts and kolaches are delicious! We came all the way fron Oklahoma just to get some. The staff is super friendly.

Been going to this place for about a year and have never been disappointed. To be honest, I don’t know how fresh donuts could ever disappoint so I could be biased. Either way, I love their earl Campbell and boudin sausage kolaches. Always happy with their apple fritters and maple glazed donuts. Also, if you like green tea. Try their smoothie. Did I mention my dogs recognize when we go here? They love the donut holes. Here’s a pic of them excitedly waiting.

The one time I’ve been able to taste the donuts they were alright. However, besides that previous visit they always seem to run out of donuts and only have the miscellaneous items available. Essentially, it’s a donut shop without enough donuts.

This donut shop is convenient for me since I live in Tara Farms and can walk there but I am starting to get to the point that I will just drive into town to one of the other places. The owner is super nice but is also very forgetful. Several times that I have gotten a kolache and he puts it in the microwave he forgot to ring it up and I had to ask him about it. When he realized his mistake he obviously still wants to get paid for that food item but he doesn’t seem to be okay with running my card again and I don’t carry cash so it makes for an awkward encounter. Also I’ve had several times that I have asked for a specific number of glazed donuts only to get home and realize he didn’t give me the right number that I asked for. Makes me wonder if I am paying the right price when I go in ther
