Viv's Cafe

This is a great traditional non-chain place for breakfast. Friendly, attentive staff, and it attracts a lot of locals. We were there on a Monday morning at about 8:40, and had no problem getting a booth. My wife had a Belgian Waffle and a Coke, and I had the Chorizo Scramble, hash browns, buttered sourdough toast, and coffee. The food came fast and was tasty and exactly what we wanted.

Down home cooking and service, I was away for a couple of years, didn't know what to expect. Some new faces, the food and service were great as I remember. My go to meal is biscuits and gravy, I have yet to find a restaurant in the Tucson that serves better, if you find an one that has better service and food,let me know.

What can you say about a Legend? The Hubby has been coming here on the 90's. We've been back a few times since we're both on Nevada now. She's the sweetest owner. The food is consistent. Portions are plenty. Awesome, awesome pictures and photos on all the walls. Sooo many famous people and heart clients take pictures in all other countries and places and she frames them! Great menu choices.

My breakfast a few months ago was good, but my lunch this past weekend was awesome. Killer Reuben and the best chicken fried steak anywhere! Love it. VictorB

If I lived in the Tanque Verde area of Tucson, I'd eat here every Saturday, at least. Such a warm, community feel to the place. Food was good, business was bustling & everyone was having a good time. Love this place!
