ViVi’s Mexican

What a unique Williamsburg find! We have gone 1-2x per week since Vivi’s opened! The restaurant is located along the Chickahominy river waterfront right next to Midway Marina. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for authentic Mexican food! Truly the best Mexican I’ve ever had. And honestly the most flavorful food I’ve had at any restaurant!

The food was phenomenal. Carnitas was perfectly seasoned. Service was a teeny bit slow, but it was really busy.. so that makes sense. Relaxed marina atmosphere, a bit loud with kids running around. It’s a perfect venue for cocktails on the deck overlooking the river.

Finally a restaurant in the haven! So happy this has opened. What a beautiful spot on the river. The re-vamped space has an indoor bar and 2 outdoor patios. They have lunch specials and a full dinner menu. Definitely worth checking out.

Had a delicious dinner tonight at Vivi‘s. Great service from staff and the owner came by table and talked with us. We tried the sampler platter, had delicious appetizers, some of which we had never eaten before. Husband had the Molcajete, which he said was delicious. I had the Chile Verde, which was also so delicious. Great verde sauce! We brought home lots of leftovers from the delicious big portions. And a plus: they have Coke products :) Look forward to coming back and trying another yummy dish.

Coming from southern California, where homemade Mexican food is plentiful, we were pleased to find Vivi's Mexican Cuisine & Cantina. Friends from Chesterfield told us about the resturant and we were not disappointed. We found a cozy resturant, sitting on the Chicahamony river, serving authentic, home cooked Mexican food. It is close to Williamsburg, maybe 20 minutes from downtown. Definitely worth the experience.
