Viva Chicken

Just had lunch at Viva Chicken in St. George and let me tell you… I came for chicken and left questioning every other chicken decision I’ve ever made in my life 😂🔥 That Peruvian rotisserie chicken? JUICY. Flavorful. Borderline life-changing. The sauces? I would legally adopt them if I could. 🌶️💛 The avocado on the stuffed avocado could be at room temperature. They are super cold, almost frozen, but besides that everything was delightful. 🥑 And can we talk about Norma?! 🙌 Norma was the MVP of the whole operation — polite, professional, and so helpful she made ordering feel like a VIP experience. If there was a Chicken Hall of Fame, Norma would already have her plaque on the wall 🏆🐔 Fast service, clean restaurant, amazing vibes, and food that makes you want to high-five the kitchen crew.

We’ve been coming to Viva Chicken for years and it’s a local favorite for a reason. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Restaurant is well maintained and has a fun vibe. We have tried most of the menu and it’s hard to go wrong. The Steak Saltado, Naked Peruvian Wrap, Tacu Bowl, Stuffed Avocado, and Fries are the stars of the menu in our opinion. Chicken Soup, Fried Rice, and churros are also very good. If you are trying this place for the first time and considering ordering chicken I would recommend getting the rotisserie chicken over the pulled, it’s much more flavorful. And don’t forget the sauce!! Every dish is better with it! Our favorite is the yellow. This place can get pretty busy at lunch and at dinner on the weekends, but to-go is a usually fast alternative.

We make time to get Viva Chicken every time we are in or driving through St. George. I didn’t know what Peruvian food entailed before this restaurant, and despite my knowledge of this cuisine still limited, I know we love this restaurant. Their ordering system is fast and efficient so we are always able to quickly pull off the freeway, fill up on gas, and grab our to-go order. We order the Chicken Tacu Bowl and slather both the green and yellow sauces onto the contents (pinto beans, white rice, chicken, green onions, etc.). Pictures are of our takeout order, plus we tried the plantains this time, my husband loved them!

Viva Chicken in St. George is an absolute gem! The 2-piece juicy chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the Lomo Saltado came in generous, hearty portions. The self-serve sauces are a highlight—each one adds its own kick and flavor. Honestly, I never expected to find such authentic Peruvian food here, but this spot completely impressed me. Whether you’re just passing through or spending time in St. George, this is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

First time in St George, had a few recommendations here fro YouTube videos and Norma was amazing with us. Recommended the Green and Yellow sauce to go with our chicken! Was definitely worth it and can’t wait to come back and try something new!
