Vita Nova New York Style Pizza & Restaurant

This place is fantastic!!! The pizza (thinnish and crispy) might be the best I’ve had in Charlottesville. Prices are very good and (this seems important to people now) you don’t get prompted to tip on the screen. The gentleman that was working was great and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. Worth a trip if you haven’t tried it.

Hands down the best pizza! Cooked to perfection. Be sure to try a slice of the chipotle pizza. In addition to that, the owner came out and spoke to us after we ate. Very friendly, and we will be back!

We came in here looking for a snack and were blown away!! The owner is kind and answered all the questions we had. He prepares pizzas on the spot for whatever you're feeling, and he really knows his stuff. The toppings were thick and plentiful and it was hands-down the best crust we've ever had. It claims to be "New York style" pizza which I've never had, but if that was true New York fashion then call me a New Yorker because I'm SOLD. We'll definitely be coming back, but next time we're bringing friends and family. Thank you for a great experience! Notes: we got a slice of sausage pizza. It wasn't crumbled, ground sausage, but thick, juicy slices of sausage! The BBQ chicken bacon pizza also had nice, large pieces of bacon and there were toppings in every bite. Great spot downtown to grab a quick bite.It’s right on 4th street so it’s very convenient if you’re on the mall. Employees are very nice and quick to get your food out. Not to mention the price is very good for the quality of food and service you’re getting. Definitely an underrated pizza spot here in Cville!

We visited for the first time with a large group that included several small children, and unfortunately it will also be our last. We used three tables, but two of the chairs were taken from the table directly next to us, so we were being mindful of space and not taking seating from elsewhere. When the pizza was brought out, we politely asked if it could be placed on the small table next to us (the same area we had taken the extra chairs from) because we were concerned the younger kids might tip it over where it was placed. The staff member responded rudely, commenting on how many tables we were using and refusing the request, then placed the pizza in the middle and walked away. We weren’t asking for special treatment just trying to keep our kids safe while also being considerate of spac
