I LOVE LOVE LOVE VSU! I have not been back to MY HBCU since 2008! The GREATNESS and intentionality in the development that has been poured into VSU is seen and FELT every inch of the campus! It was a privilege to revisit my HBCU and witness all the greatness that is ongoing!!! Professor Stewart did an excellent job showing me the campus and I look forward to returning!

had extremely high expectations when I joined this university, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The education here is shockingly outdated, with curricula that feel like they haven’t been revised in decades. Many of the textbooks and materials are obsolete, ignoring the latest developments in the field, which makes the learning experience feel irrelevant and disconnected from the real world. The professors are another major issue. Many of them seem unprepared and unqualified, lacking both the knowledge and the teaching skills necessary to guide students effectively. Classes often feel like disorganized lectures where critical questions are brushed aside, and there is little encouragement for independent thinking or modern approaches. Some professors

Virginia State University has a beautiful campus near historic downtown Petersburg Virginia. It is conveniently located close to multiple shops, restaurants and services in the area. It's proximity to the interstate highway system makes traveling to and from the campus at the start of end of the year, as well as during holiday breaks, very easy to travel there, visit family, or just get away to the beach for a little rest and relaxation.

Virginia State University is an excellent institution of higher education doing GREATER things for current and future leaders and contributors in the Commonwealth and beyond!

Very nice! Attended orientation for my first year student. She's excited, and I'm excited for her! Today's experience was worth the visit.
