Vine & Olive

I did not get to try the food, but I did get pictures of the bakery. I am God Willing going to come back with my husband and try it because it looks so good. I won't be able to eat at the bakery because I stopped eating processed foods, and I feel better about that, I hope they switch to whole wheat flour or something healthy so I can try it. But it does look so good!

I cannot recommend Vine and Olive enough, and specifically, you have to try their Gyro! I ordered the Lamb Gyro, and it was flawless. The meat was perfectly seasoned—tender, juicy, and sliced just right—not dry or fatty like you find elsewhere. It was piled high on a wonderfully warm and soft pita that tasted incredibly fresh. But what truly elevates it is the balance of ingredients. The fresh-cut tomatoes, cucumber, and onion added a necessary crunch and brightness, perfectly complemented by the star of the show: the tzatziki sauce. It was creamy, tangy, loaded with fresh dill and cucumber, and tasted authentically homemade. It's the kind of sauce you want to bottle up and take home! Anyone who has to eat gluten free knows how hard that is to do when you are travelling. Were in Sandusky 2-3 times a year for baseball tournaments and Vine and Olive is my one stop shop for food. They're Gluten free selection of prepared hot (and healthy) foods is great! They have so many specialty foods, wines, tastings, great snacks, sweets and more. Stop in, you won't be disappointed.

We were excited to try this place, but unfortunately our experience wasn’t great. When we walked in, no one greeted us and it felt pretty awkward from the start. The person taking our food order seemed annoyed, didn’t respond when I said hi twice, and just wasn’t friendly. When we changed the order to go instead of dine-in, he seemed irritated and slammed the pen and the bell, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable. We grabbed a wine on our own because we didn’t want to ask and deal with the attitude again. Once we got home and opened the food, we found a hair in one of the gyros, which was really disappointing. The one positive part was the woman at the register later — she refunded us politely and didn’t make it complicated.
