Village Family Restaurant

We had a great lunch here. I enjoyed my grilled cheese sandwich (simple, but did the job). My friend got a delicious white bean soup. Bonus elements: 1) Gluten free menu available; 2) super friendly service; 3) Fast kitchen. Parking was available- small lot, and also easy to park in the street. I’ll have to come back to try the “Beef HotShot,” which is reputed to be a specialty of the restaurant…. Something about meat and gravy… sounded yummy.

Got the thanksgiving pizza and it was really burnt, the soup I wanted was out and the food my buddy got was cold. We had three different servers, each dealing with problems from other tables as-well. I feel like this place has been going down hill for a few years but now there is no point in coming back to eat here. Edit: My meal was not compensated they removed the inedible pizza which is the bare minimum of what they should have done.

Checked out the new Villager at the Village Family Restaurant last night. Couple Warped Wing draft beers and a variety of others in cans. Full VFR menu available, so, plenty of great food options too. Service was fast and friendly. Will be fun to see how this space evolves.

Had lunch with my best friends and had a wonderful time. Service was great and the Beef Kabobs with rice was delicious. Took time to walk through the “ Lewis Mercantile “ and enjoyed just relaxing and spending time with friends. Would recommend the Village restaurant highly!

This was our first visit and will be our last. I was excited for the chicken and dumplings. However, would not recommend this choice to anyone. The chicken was a processed cubed chicken, the “dumplings” were more like noodles of which you got 7 small pieces that tasted like soggy flour and water, the broth base tasted like thickened chicken bullion. This was served with mashed potatoes which were instant. The best thing I had was the side salad.
