This place used to be great, but obviously whoever’s in chargenow does not care at all. Spent over $60 for a Reuben, bowl of chili, patty melt that came on a bun instead of rye bread, swimming in grease, cup of chili, and two side salads. The cashier did not tell us that it was an extra seven dollars for salad as our “side.” My husband isn’t picky but couldn’t eat his ruben- the meat was like rubver- he told them he couldn’t eat it and threw it away!!. Threw away most of the hamburger too, it was so greasy. When my husband said he could not eat the Reuben there was no offer to give him a refund or something else. Check out the photos! The only thing ok was the chili and I can get the same at Wendy’s. The salad was just ok- not very fresh, they don’t peel the cucumbers at all and dressing i
My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner and were not disappointed. I ordered the Reuben and my wife had the Philly cheese steak. Both sandwiches were great! I ordered mine with pasta salad and that was disappointing... not much on flavor. I also recommend the fried green tomatoes. The staff was friendly and our food arrived quickly. The restaurant was clean too. Will 100% dine here again if we're on this side of town!
Eat twice as good with 2 locations in Raleigh!! Love the Fried Green Tomatoes! (By the way, that is my fav movie!! Look it up, but order sumthin to eat from here while you watch 🎥 🍅 🍹 🍽️
I happened upon this dining spot while solo-adventuring in Raleigh. When I saw the overall good reviews & perused the menu beforehand, I knew I just had to try the Fried Green Tomato BLT with some sweet potato fries. That sounded like the perfect southern twist of a traditional BLT, & I wasn’t disappointed! The ciabatta bread was perfect to prevent palate scratching (a danger of BLTs), & the pimiento cheese oozed out with each bite. Certainly not the healthiest item on the menu— I could feel my arteries clogging with each morsel— but when in Raleigh, right? It was so filling, I took half of it back to my hotel for breakfast the next day (and it was indeed still tasty even cold). Service was friendly & fast. Only wish I had saved some room for dessert, as the options looked scrumptious.
The food was tasty. I got the French dip which was good, just quite salty and had a bit of hard gristle in it. The potato salad was excellent! My husband got the roast beef panini and loved it. Had to top it off with the lemon raspberry cheesecake- that was delicious.
