Village Butcher and Market

I ordered the Italian sub with village peppers on the side. It was a little smaller than I expected for the price but there was so much meat on it! ( I’m a fan of the bread!!!!). It was a great sandwich! I’d treat myself to another!!! The peppers were also very tasty. I just recommended you to the UPS driver!!! Thumbs up!!

Nice clean shop. Didn't have a lot of meat on display as the advertise on website. Cashier didn't know much about anything for instance she didnt know if the crab cakes were homemade or not, she did lean more to the not side. She was not informative at all. Ate the Pork Belly last night it was delicious.

They told me that the Village Butcher had the best hamburger. True. I consume hamburgers with the refined palate of a burger food critic and can definitely say that this was the best hamburger in Morgantown. Location also comes with: large window to the butcher shop to see the behind-the-scenes action, a bathroom, simplistic hipster-style décor, a selection of really nice cuts of meat for viewing in a refrigerated display counter, and a drink cooler for regular beverages. Chips that came with the hamburger were . . . chips. The bun was toasted and the appropriate size to the burger. The meat was tasty and flavored well with salt/pepper so that the lettuce and tomato were the only needed toppings. Patty was a little thick, but my comrade that introduced me to the Village Butcher said

All of the food is amazing. One of my favorite lunch spots in Morgantown. Steak sandwich and burger are especially delicious. No TV and sometimes no music which occasionally makes it a little awkward if people aren’t talking lol.

As usual the sandwiches we ordered were excellent and we love the pasta side salad. Our favorite sandwiches are the Italian and the Mortadella. In addition their baseball medallions are wonderful to use for individual beef wellingtons for special occasions.
