Villa Catrina

This is a great place to get authentic mexican food. They have a wide variety of foods. My favorite go to is their steak la doña tostada salad. Their dressing is delicious!! Free chips and salas!! Servers are all welcoming and very friendly!! Highly recommended!!

I’ve lived in Arcadia for over 20 years and had no idea this gem existed until I visited Villa Catrina last Sunday for their brunch—and wow, what a find! Brunch starts at 10 AM and costs just $27.50 for an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes six stations: a taco station, omelet station, salad bar, hot entrées, soup station, and desserts. And yes—it also includes three strong and tasty mimosas! As soon as you walk in, the taco station is on your left. A friendly lady makes fresh corn tortillas by hand, right in front of you. Fairly nice place with decent food. It was good, but it didn't really WOW us. We're not asking for magic, but it was just no different than any other mexican food place...beans, rice, enchiladas, tamales Taquitos etc. There were some specials on the menu but nothing really that different from any other place like this. The service was polite and nice. I did have one issue... We were told to sit wherever we would like and we grabbed a table that looked comfy for our group. Very good spot for Mexican food. It's an average place, which isn't bad ok. The food is really good, has good flavor and is consistent. The chips and salsa are usually mild and not too spicy. Haven't had any problems with any entree so far and been coming here for over 10 years! Favorite is the chile verde for suuuure. Packed with flavor and the meat is veeery tender. The tortas are a great choice. Can't go wrong with the guacamole!Husband says the cervezas on tap are really good.
