Viet Palace Restaurant

Greeted nicely when we arrived. We came here because of the variety of dishes on the menu. We get to ordering but the waitress told us some of the items were not available. To our disappointment, we had to order something else. Here is what we think of the dishes we ordered: catfish and fries were surprisingly good; came with a homemade dip like thousand island. The pork chop on the combo plate was way too sweet and had to be dipped in the fish sauce dressing. Never tasted viet chops so sweet like that. The rice was a bit soggy. The egg and fried roll were good. The pickled salad tasted weird and not the usual. Garlic noodles were okay but the seafood was a bit salty. Biggest disappointment was the food. Prices on menu were extremely misleading and old. Wanted to order fried egg rolls but they were unavailable(many items crossed out). This is pretty uncommon, as fried egg rolls should be made in-house like every other restaurant. Had a "large" pho with meatballs with rare meat. I normally use sauce, but the sauces look a bit questionable (like they haven't been used in a while or stored in fridge). So I didn't want to risk it. Soup looked super bland/empty, barely any greens or onions etc. Meatballs was very questionable, they cut the meat balls into 3 sections instead of usual halves. You're into Vietnamese food this is a cool little spot to come. My wife's dish which was fried noodles with steak was better looking and taste better then my Skillet steak and egg disk I order.

Food: is alright not bad not great 3/5 🌟 Service:was kinda off maybe they had a bad day but it just felt unwelcoming 👎 Bathroom: I know it's broken but that doesn't mean neglect cleaning! PS: who turned off the A/C it's boiling hot 🔥 and why can't I get any ICE in my Cup?!?!?? First visit to this place, we were seated right away and the customer service was good, but the food was okay. The vegetable pho was okay, but I was disappointed with the garlic noodles and lemongrass tofu. In my opinion, the garlic noodles and tofu were really bland and a bit on the greasier side. I did enjoy their dessert-fried banana with matcha green tea ice cream. I appreciated the fact that the bananas were fried in a wonton skin. The avocado smoothie was pretty tasty as well; it was the perfect amount of creamy and sweet. Second visit to this place, customer service was not great and they took awhile to come take our order (it wasn’t a busy night). The food again was okay.
