I came here on a weekday, so I did not get to experience their brunch or dinner service. Not many pastries were left, so I assumed they had already sold out. The labels were taken down, so I had to ask what each item was. Someone was sweeping the floor and came over to help me, but he did not wash his hands first. I hate to sound picky, but I do think handwashing is important for anyone working in a restaurant. That aside, the coffee was amazing and the pastries were excellent, which made me determined to return for brunch or dinner. I eventually came back for dinner and wanted to try everything, but my company was not very hungry, so we chose one appetizer and a pizza. Both were phenomenal and made me even more determined to return with someone who is hungry and enjoys trying new things.
Such an amazing experience! The food was delightful and beautiful! The staff was very kind and helpful. The drinks were stellar. Cozy place! I highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s smaller so reservations absolutely recommended.
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston and some of the best Italian food I’ve had! I take everyone who visits here and the food never disappoints - it’s simply outstanding. I’ve been here for brunch and dinner, and my favorites are the eggplant parm, braised short ribs, potatoes, and their pastries, especially the pistachio and almond croissants. I also love the frittata calabrese and the crostata. You can’t go wrong with any of these! The owner, Stefano, is warm and friendly and the service is great each time we visit. Will continue to come here for years.
What a hidden gem! We were looking for a good brunch and found Via Cannuccia on google maps and boy were we happy we did! The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but cozy and cute inside. It’s the perfect chef owned local gem that is hard to find in Boston these days. The food was creative, fresh and delicious. I had “pasta” that was actually eggs and hubby had the short rib hash. We also shared a perfectly buttery, flaky, fresh chocolate croissant. They had a pastry counter that rivaled those we saw in Paris, fresh home made bread (we didn’t try it this time) and the service was wonderful. Our server was helpful explaining the menu and helping us decide what to get (not easy!). Now we need to go there for dinner.
We walked in with no reservation and the manager was very welcoming and accommodating. He made a table for us which was very sweet. The service from the staff was excellent. The food was amazing and tasted really fresh. I would definitely come back 10/10.
