Via 313

Well I had high hopes for Via 313. It was my wife and my first time eating here, the restaurant was clean and nice, the waiter asked if we had been there before we said its our first time coming in. I asked if the bar style pizza was crispy he said yes so we decided to order one of those, a detroit pepperoni along with a salad. The salad was decent with no complaints, the detroit pizza was ok but seemed light on the toppings and could have been cooked a little more but the bar type was definitely not crispy by any means. It definitely seemed undercooked but not raw, I asked the waiter next time he came by if this is how y'all do it there, showed him the crust, he said it looks a bit light in color and said we can order it more crispy next time and that was it. Not sure what we were expecting but we agreed that this would not be our "Pizza Go To". We tried the Detroit Style Classic Cheese and the sauce tasted like tomatoes, water, and Italian seasoning. Also ordered the bar style Funkadelic Chicken. It wasn't "crispy" like most bar style pizzas. I asked if it had a tomato sauce on it and was told "yes"... well, it doesn't. Service was super slow and the place wasn't 1/3 full. We will keep looking for that go to. Via 313 still has a lot of work to do to get to that level. Good luck, we won't be back.
