Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library

Quaint little library with picturesque fountain known as a great photo op spot in Chehalis. It’s pretty small inside but has fun story times for kids, a great kids area, friendly staff. I’m mostly disappointed they don’t do holiday-themed activities anymore. My kids loved the Halloween and Christmas activities but now it’s all fall and winter or just random nothing activities. As with any Timberland library these days you have to be careful even in the children’s area because it has some questionable books. But knowing that is an issue with most libraries, I still appreciate the services provided by our local library.

This is a beautiful library with a variety of friendly people around. I don't understand why there are heavily political materials in and around the non fiction section. They should have a specific section dedicated to political grievances and what not, I'm more interested in science with my non fiction.

Nice place, always quiet clean bathrooms, beautiful fountain, and quick service!

Friendly librarians made our kids' first trip to the library a huge success. There was a clean and well organized play area for our littles and a large selection for our bigs. The only issue was the women's bathroom was closed down.

We have been going in at least once per week. The print stations are great, and my son finds lots of age appropriate books, both fiction and non.
