Verdugo Hills Pool

I went to the Verdugo Hills Pool many times at age 6 with my siblings (8 of them) in 1966. I got dunked by older kids a few times and had to watch out for the very large and sometimes mean "Verdugo Lady". Still, it was a great adventure, I had a good time and started learning to swim.

I went to the Verdugo Hills Pool with my family yesterday, and it went well. Today, however, led to a different experience. We showed up at a little after 1 when they opened. My wife and I had both asked their staff if we could get a paddle board or tube for our child. The answer was "not today." Well, why not? It's bad enough that the price for one adult has risen from $2.50 in 2018 to $4 in 2019, but when a patron asks for something simple that had been out before in droves, it should be easy to accommodate. I suppose what made it worse what that four of the employees who were there were not engaged in anything. Yes, I understand that when it gets busy, they all will be busy, but my inquiry came when it was nearly empty in there still. Here's a suggestion for the teenagers who work there

Nice staff and clean waters.

Pool did not allow me to bring a life vest for my 4 year old son still learning how to swim!! Absolutly in acceptable and I'm in process of filing a complaint and possibly a lawsuit.

A great place for swim lessons. My two daughters learned there and are great swimmers. Now it's my son's turn and I'm not disappointed.
