Velt Deli & Grocery

This has to be one of the most racist deli’s I’ve been to in a while . I had an encounter on Tuesday October 21, 2025 in the morning with the clerk (the older gentleman ) . I go to this store every morning and get a boil egg which is typically 50 cent an egg today I went in purchase the same thing an EGG its a 1.00 . Last week I come in for a loose cigarette which normally 1.00 now it’s a 1.25 . So when I spoke to him about the usual price I paid he proceeds to argue with me . Then throws my change at me making it hit the floor . The reason I’m writing this is because this transpired in front of my daughter , the manner in which I was dealt with was completely and utterly unacceptable. This is my favorite deli. I can text them and my order will be ready in 15 minutes, no matter how big it is. The female cashier deals with a lot but is still welcoming! The coffee is usually good and Papi always says Hi if he isn't busy. He's been in town since I was a small girl. Much respect to him for opening his own spot.

I would not recommend it. I only go there once & a blue moon, like for cheese or something they can't mess up. I don't know how they sell any food it's really basic. I prefer Midway deli their food is the best in town. Look at this burger from the belt deli, trash! Barely any lettuce and the tomatoes are paper thin...smfh

Not bad, you can't see the back of the kitchen. Small and clean. They serve sandwiches and breakfast platters. Edited update: New Owners you can see the kitchen now and prices went up a bit. They serve hot sandwiches and cold ones. Also Diner type food.
