Velocity Wings - Purcellville

This is the worse chicken wings I have ever had they are burnt, had to buy my own seasoning because they had no flavor. While I was there there was a customer was complaining about how dry the food was and he was right. This food is the worse. I will not be recommending this trash to anyone. $27.25 down the drain

I don’t normally leave reviews. But I continue to try to support Velocity Wings as a local business and they disappoint every…single…time. I’ve been to Anchor Bar, Buffalo Wild Wings, The Pub, Loudoun Kitchen & Bar, etc. and have never had such consistently bad dining experiences like I do at Velocity. To say the food is overpriced is beyond an understatement. You can get more food, better food, and for MUCH cheaper at just about every other sports bar in Loudoun County. They’ve run out of Coke multiple times I’ve been here. The service is ALWAYS slow. The atmosphere is always pretty quiet and depressing for a “sports bar.” I just don’t get it. I have tried to support this local business but I just cannot do it anymore. The place is empty and depressing, inconsistent service, but the absolute WORST thing about this establishment is the lack of ventilation. It doesn’t matter where you sit in this restaurant, you will leave smelling like you just took a shower in a deep fryer. They are recirculating the nasty kitchen deep fryer air throughout the entire restaurant. Don't believe me? Go have a beer at the bar, up front near the windows. By the time you leave, your clothes and hair are completely saturated with that nasty smell. Do they even have working exhaust hoods on the fryers?

We have been to Velocity wings numerous times and the last two times the food has been pretty bad. I ordered the chipotle raspberry wings which are my favorite but this time the wings weren’t tossed in the sauce. They were just drizzling with the sauce on the wings. More than half the wings had no sauce. When we asked if this is the way they preparing the wings now we were told it’s whatever the cook wants to do! Well word to cook … go back to tossing the wings in the sauce! The wings were dry and little to no flavor. It will be awhile before we go back to Velocity wings … hopefully the food will improve.

We’ve lived in the area for about 3.5 years and, for no particular reason, had not yet made it to Velocity Wings. But then our daughter’s school had a Spirit Night there so we decided to go. Well, let me tell you, I’m bummed we haven’t tried it sooner!! They were pretty busy on this particular night but we were seated right away. The dining room is okay, but then put some tables between two rows air booths so it be a bit of a tight fit. But nothing too crazy. Our booth had a TV so it would be an okay place to watch sports. There are also a couple bar areas if you wanted to sit there. Service was good. The only complaint I would have is that, for some reason, our daughter’s max and cheese came out 5-10 minutes after the rest of our dinners. And we had to remind them. But I give them a pas
