Vancostas Restaurant

Vancostas is my favorite family restaurant. l have been eating there for well over 25 years. When my hubby was living, we ate there most every weekend and some weekdays. Now that it’s just me, l find myself eating and socializing there most days. The meals are good and consistent. l think my favorite is breakfast. l love the pasta and several of the subs/sandwiches. l give them five thumbs up! 👍👍👍👍👍☕️☕️

Vancostas gives me a diner vibe. The restaurant has been around a while so it explains some of the dated decor. The decor had no affect on my food or the service provided to me because both were great! Heather was our waitress and she made sure to make our first experience an awesome one! I ordered the French toast breakfast which came with a side (I got bacon) and 2 eggs (mine were scrambled with cheese). My husband ordered steak & eggs and an extra order of toast. Our total was $40 including tip. You can use card or cash!

It took us forever to go to this place because of what it looks like from the outside. I am hoping someone from management will read this, as my family said they will not be going back because of some of the issues. I absolutely loved the food and service. My DD ordered the country fried steak breakfast and I ordered the ribeye breakfast. Both very well cooked and tasty. The price is outstanding. The waitress an elderly lady was slow but accurate and friendly. Here is our issue you walk on the floor and you literally stick to the 100 year old carpet. It is that dirty and gross. The awning over the cashier is so thick with dust someone wrote on the dust and it was never cleaned. They are in NEED of a Makeover like no ones business. I hope they at least clean the floors and awnings. I don't

This was a great restaurant. The server was VERY friendly. She kept my drink cup full. The food was AMAZING and SUPER REASONABLY priced. Cheaper than many fast food restaurants and considerably better. next time I am in Newport News, I will come back. Five stars all the way.

Beautiful warm welcoming atmosphere! Beautiful people with humble personalities and respectful staff! Good food! Greek salad is the best! 🥗
