Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Compared to the ice cream shop inside Ponce City Market, this place offers more options, higher quality, and even vegan menu items, all at very competitive prices. It’s located in the building right next door with a plaza in front, so I highly recommend stopping by after a meal at Ponce City Market.

Great ice cream! It was so rich and creamy. We tried pistachio, strawberry and mint chip. All of them were flavorful and delicious. The waffle cone tasted so fresh. The employee was very kind and allowed us to try samples as we decided what to order. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this ice cream shop today on Valentine’s Day around 5:30pm. We were so excited to try the ice cream and enjoy our time there. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy our time due to the rudeness and attitude of the lady who worked the shift and made our ice cream on Feb 14, 2026 @5:30pm, she was short and wears glasses. My experience would have been amazing if she didn’t ruin it. When we walked in, she did not greet us. I asked for samples and she gave me attitude. The entire time I asked for 2 samples she was so rude and it seemed like she was rushing me. Mind yall the shop was filled with kids and other families and we had to deal with her attitude.
