ValSof bakery

I have been going to ValSof in Murray for a couple of time because I love their chicken pastry. This time I had a chance to visit this location and it was the right decision. I ordered Americano and I think both places have about the same quality of coffee. However, I think the bakeries at this location is slightly better. I will be coming back!

Literally a Colombian bakery! Authentic traditional flavors and a great variety of breads — changua, calentado paisa, grandma’s bread, buñuelos, yuca bread — all fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious!

Very fun selection of food and drinks. Way more diverse than a normal bakery. I loved the miniatures on the walls. And it's quiet! Yay. Hard to find quiet places to talk while you eat.

I bring all this up not to decrease your rating--as a fan, I want you in business for a really long time--but to offer a bit of (hopefully) constructive criticism. (For context, I'm originally from Colombia.) You get high marks for your service. Everyone I speak with is courteous and helpful. But I had to take a star off because the quality and flavor of your foods has been lacking recently. (For more context, we've only had your sweet and savory pastries.) At our most recent visit, we bought some Almond Croissants, a Tres Leches, a Choco Flan, an Hojaldre de Guava & Cheese, and a Milhojas. Incredible. I had been looking for authentic Colombian food for a while, and this hit in every way. From the platanos con arroz to the pan de guava to the pancito con queso, everything was perfect. Recomiendo mucho el caldo de res! We will be back soon, and often!!!
