Valley Springs Farm Bed & Breakfast

This was our second stay with hosts, Dorothy and Farmer Don. Our first visit in summer was just a couple's weekend getaway, but we enjoyed it so much that we came back with our kids. They loved seeing the calves, and our daughter said the French toast was "just beautiful!" Our room was comfortable and just the right size. Everything was clean and cozy. The bathroom products smell amazing. We especially love that it's an easy drive to so many fun attractions from hiking and biking to art galleries and more! If nothing else, go enjoy the views from the front porch with a glass of wine or cup of coffee. I'm sure we'll be back!

We stayed 4 nights with our family of 5 plus a 14 month old baby. We stayed in the Sage and Lilac rooms. They were clean and comfortable. Don and Dorothy were excellent company and so helpful recommending local things to see and do. The breakfasts were amazing. The kids had a great time interacting with the cats, goats and their dog Max. Watching the cows in the pastures was relaxing. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset by the fire every night. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great experience!||Dorothy and Don made us feel welcomed immediately, and made us take apples when we left! My best pictures of the weekend were of the cows at the b&b! The room was great and I slept really well (which is increasingly rare) - but best of all, my food restrictions were viewed as a challenge to create tasty breakfasts for everyone that I could eat! Phenomenal experience! Valley Springs Farm B & B is a working grass-fed beef farm. Our host offered and took us on an ATV tour of their property and animals on our first night. The breakfasts were wonderful and made form many things grown right on the Harms' or neighboring farms. Our hosts even had a small refrigerator specifically for us to use for our stay that was located just outside of our room. The views throughout the area are gorgeous and the location in central to many other places (i.e. Devil's Lake State Park, Mirror Lake State Park, Pewit's Nest, breweries, restaurants, etc.) which we also enjoyed. Our(Poppy) room was very comfortable with our own ensuite bathroom/shower, couch, reading nook, and TV area. A common hospitality center was on the upstairs landing with compl

Dorothy and Don are absolute gems. We felt so warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. As BnB hosts, they "read the room" incredibly well, and will engage as much with their guests as the guest would hope. My wife and I picked Don and Dorothy's brains for hours about everything---going back decades in their collective memories about dairy and cattle farming, local politics and the economy, and, for my wife, the "homesteading classes" which were wonderful. Dorothy went above-and-beyond during these lessons to teach and entertain us. And Don is always down to talk Brewers baseball, which is great too. The nearby attractions were great as well (all on their website). Excellent long weekend, we look forward to returning!
