All the soba tofu dishes were pretty good- I think those were the highlights of the meal. There was a soba tofu appetizer as well as a soba tofu (branded as mochi) dessert. Can skip soba sushi (we got yellowtail), got the duck (3 ways) shio and the black truffle curry - I think the duck shio is more classic and black truffle curry was more adventurous? I liked the classic broth better but…. Black truffle curry was def more unique. Their cucumber wasabi was great! Pricy meal though.

I was invited there and liked the decors right away. Japanese style drapes at the entrance, very nice arrangements and rooms. This is a soba focused place and I had the duck and Uni (with a touch of truffle) cold soba dish and it was exceptional! Balanced, flavorful, exceptionally clean taste. BTW, buckwheat (soba noodles base) are gluten free. The waitress then told us that the pottery (bowls and tea cup) were all made locally by the chef, making each dish served in a unique manner. I HAD TO see it and ... went on the back. The chef was very kind and explained a bit - of course I expressed that I was delighted. an awesome dining experience!! every detail here rlly makes my time so worthwhile. very spacious dining area with the friendliest staff. decoration was so amazing every corner looks extraordinary for photos. we got the duck shio soba, salmon ikuri soba, unagi & duck stamina soba, which were all very good. it came in huge portion and very pretty bowls (which i think the handmade them in the backroom??) oh and the monk mocktail was so delicious too!! yuzu soda was a little sour though amazing spot for any family and intimate occasions !!

The place really makes you feel as though you have been transported to Japan with its calm presence. We were able to walk in without having reservations. There is a small lounge and bar area when you walk in plus two separate eating areas and a private room in the back. We ordered two dishes to share: one hot/ one cold. They were both delicious and different enough from one another. The authentic soba noodles are made in house. The cold Salmon Ikura Soba with the sweet dashi was my preference. The Duck Shio Soba was served hot and came with 3 different preparations of duck. The two entree bowls were more than enough food, we could have easily shared one. I had some friends who raved about this place. After stopping here, I was won over. The hot duck soba was so delicious! The space is gorgeous and so unique that also showcases the culture of Greenpoint.
