Utsav Indian Cuisine

This is a white tablecloth fine dining establishment with impeccable service for an Indian restaurant. The menu is mostly muglai, North Indian and the classic British Indian dishes to suit the local palate. The food was on the pricer end but that is expected of such an institution. Had the chicken biriyani, kerala goat with puri. I shall not comment on the taste and quality of the food as I've been taught not to say anything if you don't have anything nice to say at all. They did give a complimentary dessert at the end and that I must say was a nice touch.

$77 for aloo gobi goat and 2 yogurt with galub jamun. Aloo Gobi is gross strange seasoning and still bland. Yogurt was thick like sour cream and tasteless. $32 for goat Rogan ghost that was all bones and grizzle. A lot of money for small portions and low flavor. I came here years ago and it was expensive then but at least it was delicious now it's no where near worth the cost. I look forward to Godvari reopening. Which it's closure is the reason I went back to Utsav since i was in town. If you want great indian food I suggest Avon Indian Grill, Godvari, and Rasham in CT. Customer service is amazing at Utsav but the food is not.

Lovely spot. The decor inside is very colorful attractive. Service was attentive and quick, good date night spot. Ordered Prawn Mangolorean, first time trying seafood at an Indian place. This restaurant specialty is South Indian cuisine so I thought I would give it a shot. The shrimp was cooked spot on, crisp and fresh. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is phenomenal. I have been here several times and I love the food. The folks here are warm and welcoming and the service is terrific. I live on the other side of Hartford and when we are in Manchester we stop by here to dine or take out

I love Ustav! I’ve eaten at many Indian establishments and this one definitely shares the top spot. The customer service is friendly and attentive, the flavors are impeccable, and they even offered us a complimentary port at the end of our meal. They’re a little on the pricey side but worth it. I will definitely be eating here again!
