Uptown BBQ & Soulfood

So today, I ordered a rib snack meal. It came with 4 bones, two sides and a corn muffin. Lmao 🤣, I should've saved my money or went somewhere else! I ordered turkey dressing, candied yams and fries. The ribs were meatless! MEATLESS! Meaning, it was NO meat on them frail bones! The cornbread dressing had to much sage, not enough soups/broth to keep it moist and a pound of salt. You don't add salt to dressing 🤦🏾‍♀️ The dressing smells just like seasoning salt 🤮 And I've never had dressing with carrots in it. Them yams 😵‍💫😔 One, they were canned and had to be at least two days old! My fries were hot and the BBQ sauce was on point! I ordered Door Dash because a coworker said they were so good. Well. The ribs were hard like they had been cooked over a week ago. They tried to mask the burn on them with icky sauce. That made them worse. The fried corn cooked last week and my dietician friend said they came from a can. Greens and macaroni and cheese were spicy greasy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Like we did. I think they do that to Door Dash customers. It’s always a trick to get your hard earned money

Their unique bbq stands the test of time🔥 The wings and fries were great,mac and yams were tasty. A city staple for sure.

So unfortunately I got (and still am currently) sick from this place. I haven’t ate here in about 2 years but I used to love their bbq sauce and sides. The other day I ordered a rib and shrimp dinner during the snow storm, 28 minute delivery is the real reason why I ordered… got it. Chicken skin was tough with a pull to it, it seems a lot of the chicken was unevenly cooked. I started to eat it the n stopped. Ate my shrimp which I presume was fine. My potatoe salad,…..WAS FUNKY. Like had a weird after taste similar to like maybe pork fat. Idk it wasn’t right. Baked beans were fine but by the time I got to that I started getting nauseous. Walked in food was served hot. They wete serving samples of their food, and the shrimps were good (tail off and clean). Order Pork chops dinner with BBQ fries and mac SIde of collard greens Side of bbq fried. I loved They had the grill going. They also have a lunch special (in picture) from 11am-1pm Monday-Friday. They were also playing some good music while you waited. Food taste Pork chops were good but small Bbq fries were good but next time I will ask for them to be more crispy. Mac had a griddy taste but were ok. Greens i didn't like had a sweet taste to them.
