My friend and I both got severe food poisoning shortly after leaving the restaurant. The quality and freshness of the food was not the best. Sashimi pieces were still frozen. Highly disappointed and sick. Definitely should’ve listened to my intuitions. Will not be returning at all.

My daughter and I planned on another hotpot place in MG but it had a 75min wait. I remembered seeing that Upin was open nearby so we came for dinner. No wait time at 7pm. Seated quickly... we get two choice of broth. Dining: plenty of seats and they had several tables good for groups of 6. They had a bar for veggies and sauces Well ventilated and lighting is on point. Used iPad to order. Very simple and to the point. Robo waiter brings out the order (super cute). Food: Perfect size for 2 ppl. Soup bases: szechuan and bone broth were both very spicy and savory. Meat cuts were perfect. Order sushi and it was fresh and delicious. All unlimited. Wasteful food will have a $10.99 per pound charge. Its posted at the table which is fair. Dont order what you cant eat. Portion control order. Park

Upin is one of the BEST places to have hot pot in the Twin Cities. The meat is extremely thinly cut, tender, and fresh. If you like fish, I highly recommend to order the crispy fish fillet to be put in your hot pot. The blue crab was a bit difficult to eat (but that’s just me not knowing how to eat it). There is a very wide selection of sauces, as well as AYCE fresh oysters! I haven’t seen fresh oysters at other AYCE hot pot restaurants, and definitely would put Upin at the top of my hot pot choices. The service was also extremely friendly and speedy. The waiters and waitresses here are the most amazing people. We had a huge group of people come in, and they made sure each and every one of us were taken care of. If you come on your birthday you get a surprise dessert and a coupon for a $ a

This place was so enjoyable to eat at! Everyone was so kind and would answer any questions you had. They happily explained everything when you didn’t understand. The owner was walking around being so kind! The food is delicious, you order on a tablet which is so convenient and don’t need to wait for an employee. The cute cat robot who brings your food is just a huge bonus. You get good amount of meat per order and it’s all you can eat. Their sushi was amazing and the vegetables were all fresh. This is such a fun place for families and friends. I so recommend

This is an AMAZING gem to have in the community! I went for the first time this past Saturday night, and we were not disappointed. I was curious to see how much of the inside looked like the Baker's Square, and it is seriously hard to tell. The only part they did NOT touch are the amazing curved sun windows - everything else is brand new(see photos and video) The way that it works, is buffet style. You can pay one price for either sushi or hotpot, or for slightly more you can get both. DO get both! It is fun to put your potatoes and other longer cooking things in the hot pot, and then order some sushi(it came out SO fast each time!) When you order hotpot, you can choose two different soup broths so you can have some flavor differences for variety. They will bring it out, and it will
