Universal Pizza & Subs

This place is a little hole in the wall... As a rule of thumb, if a little hole in the wall manages to stay open for years, the food has to be pretty good. No exception to that rule here; the food (I usually get pizza and/or subs) is always consistently good, friendly people working there, prices are pretty reasonable, and food always comes out quickly (never more than 15 mins if I am at the shop, and delivery is usually never more than 30 minutes or so from the time I place the order over the phone). Me and my wife have been eating from Universal for years now (a few times a month), and have never been dissatisfied with the food quality and the service. Great pizza and deals for multiple pizzas. The chicken wings are Jurrasic sized! Absolutely love their wings, have a breading on them. Fried perfectly. They have like 20 different flavors of them. Pictured are the honey BBQ flavor. Cheese fries are awesome, nacho cheese sauce gets put on them. Highly recommend!

So I wanna start off by saying that I've been in the Rosedale area Living in and out of different motels from the city now.. on pulaski highway To be exact! With living in a hotel having no freezer a very small fridge And living Schedule Cooking isn't really something I do anymore! This has always been our go to sub shop. We'll today I called in to make a pick up order, that I would have pay for in cash. The lady told me they will not take any order from me because grubhub had refunding my last order and they did nothing wrong. The grubhub order they refer to was the driver that handed me the food push my screen door so hard on to my arm leaving a nasty mark and refuse to let it go because my dog was at the door. Mind you the note on grubhub says leave at door. Which the driver ignored. So yes grubhub choose to refund my money because of the driver! Which is why I choose to call in my order and pick up this evening. But nope the choose to refuse service. That's fine we won't be back. Not worth it. Floors are nasty ! FOOD is nasty ! They don’t wash there hands or wear gloves I came in saw a worker pic up a bun off the floor and used it for somebody food !! It’s GROSS DONT RECOMEND MY VISIT Date was 5/5/2025
