Union Street Lodging

We stopped here on our drive back from Boulder, CO to CA. Wonderful room with so much history. Very cozy. The proprietor made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We will definitely be coming back to stay here and see and experience more of this rich historical silver and gold mining town.

Lovely B&B with friendly owners. The ground level room was spacious with a king sized bed with nice linens, sitting area, electric fireplace and Satellite TV. Modern bathroom with double vanity. We were first greeted by the owner’s friendly border collie that was a great playmate for our Westie…what a nice bonus! Per the owner’s advice, we picked up food for dinner on our way there since Austin has few choices. Owners provided wine glasses for our wine. Had 3 different choices for breakfast and opted for blueberry pancakes with sausage…delicious. Will definitely stay there again.

This is a very vintage Bed and Breakfast in a small, interesting town in the middle of nowhere😉| Our room was very comfortable, nice linens, and a wonderful king bed.|Dee is a good hostess- she and her husband are very friendly and she makes wonderful blueberry pancakes. Their sweet dog Jade is a pleasure to meet.

I am so sorry I trusted the reviews on this B&B. When we arrived the front porch was HORRIBLE!!! Falling apart and unkempt. Nothing like the picture from 8 years ago. The grounds in front were completely dead. The room was clean BUT, I had requested the love sofa be put into a twin bed. The owner denied that I had requested it and threw the sheets and blankets on the 1 inch thick mattress for me to make. She was VERY PUSHY about when we wanted breakfast in the morning before we even put our luggage down. The Mormon Crickets didn't help either. The front staircase was filthy leading up to the second floor. No WiFi, at least it was not offered. No glasses in the room for water. BEWARE!!!!!

This is a our second time to stay here and have made reservations for a third next year. It is centrally located in Austin and now is a short walk to the only bar and grill that is open until 9, which also has good food. We stayed in the Emma Nevada room because we wanted a private bath and is a large bedroom and and king size bed. Dee is a very good host and will work with your schedule. She and her husband made us feel at home and were very informative about the area if you ask. The rooms are clean and well decorated, it is amazing what they have done with the place. Union Street b&b is a great base to explore the Austin area.
