Unexpected Era Café

This is the best coffee in the neighborhood. Skip the “P” chains on the opposite corners and come here. Fresh roasted and brewed. Individual pour-overs. Beans for sale from high quality roasters and farms. Plus, Leo the owner is a great dude.

Hole in the wall coffee shop with smoothies and hot drinks. Stopped by for a quick caffeine break on our way to the Golden Gate Bridge and ordered a latte and a blueberry loaf. There’s a couple of counter seats but it’s a small place so most people who came opted for takeout. The employee helping us was very nice and helpful. The vibes were chill and it was a good spot for a lazy Sunday morning. Credit cards accepted.

There's excellent service in this clean, pleasant cafe with great drinks and a small assortment of foods. I asked about pastries and the person behind the counter recommended the raspberry turnovers. I also ordered a hot chocolate and dined-in. Three minutes after paying $9.89, I got my turnover and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was chocolatey, not over-sweetened, and creamy. The lady told me that it might not be sweet enough and she could sweeten it more if I liked, but it turned out to be perfect. The raspberry turnover was cold in the center and the pastry wasn't flaky. The worker asked how everything was and I asked if she could heat up the turnover a bit more. She offered to give me another one, but I insisted on heating up the one I'd already taken a bite out of. A minute later,

Saddest strawberry matcha of my life. Soo sad. Where is the matcha? I feel like I was robbed of $8.50. I wanted the matcha I saw in the reviews, not a cup of strawberry milk. 2 stars because the barista was nice.

Really friendly barista. My matcha was delicious. Theres not really a space to sit so just plan for that.
