So happy Mid-Wilshire has a new sushi spot in the mix! Umito is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The space is cute with a fun, inviting ambiance that makes it great for anything from a casual dinner to a low-key night out. Service was great, and the staff super friendly. They offer both sushi and ramen, which is perfect when you’re craving rolls but your friend wants a cozy bowl of noodles. Bonus points for validating parking for 1.5 hours, which is a small detail that makes a big difference in this area.

I had a wonderful experience at Umito Sushi & Ramen, especially considering it’s a newly opened restaurant. The Umito Premium Sashimi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, and the seafood miso soup with crab was rich and flavorful. The Uni Toast was one of my favorites — generous portions of fresh uni paired perfectly with the creamy egg and crispy toast. The Wagyu was also excellent, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The overall atmosphere felt elegant and authentic, like dining in Japan, and the presentation of every dish was stunning. The restaurant has a great selection of sake and stays open late, which is a huge plus. Parking was also very convenient. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again.

As you walk towards the restaurant from the parking garage, it doesn't really stand out too much until you walk in and get seated at a table, then you look look around and it has this relaxed feeling about the restaurant. Also you get this Japanese feel with the architect structure & roofing from Japan with all new furnitures and very clean and neat and makes you feel good. Next, the food started rolling in slowly from the appetizers to the entrees to the sushi and the sashimi. The fish was really fresh. The ramen was really good & very tasty. The salads were refreshing and the portions were just right not too overwhelming. Chris was our waiter & he was really sweet & kind to us. The sushi chef gave us some extra fish as a bonus! We were very impressed overall with the food, service, and t

A Newly Opened Japanese Restaurant in LA — Perfect for Date Night 🌅 My bestie discovered this newly opened Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles and brought me here to try it out! It’s currently in the soft opening phase, and the moment you walk in, it honestly feels like you’ve been transported straight to a trip in Japan 🇯🇵. I heard the atmosphere is especially nice in the evening—the lighting is dim but soft, creating a cozy, intimate vibe. The interior design is understated yet refined. It’s great for lunch as well, whether for a date or a small gathering with friends ✨ And the best part—they’re open until midnight, which is a huge plus for late-night cravings! What we ordered (their signatures): 🍣 Umito Premium Sashimi (12-piece selection) Beautifully presented, extremely fresh, and

Signature Sea Urchin Pasta The presentation is so exquisite! The sea urchin and fish roe are scattered on the pasta, making people reluctant to put down their chopsticks ?? Salmon Sashimi It's breathtakingly beautiful and has small purple flowers on it, as if it were an artwork??️ Signature Umito Premium Sashimi It's truly exquisite and looks great. It's also accompanied by colorful salts of various colors - ice blue, light yellow, fresh green and black. I've never seen such a variety before. It includes twelve different types of sashimi, which can be eaten with seaweed. The seafood soup is also rich and delicious - a mouthful of freshness! Waygu You can bake it yourself to control the desired degree of doneness. The beef flavor is extremely rich and the milk flavor is truly delicious 🐮 Sp
