Umami Sushi & Poke Bowl

Sushi from here is excellent! The regular sushi set was absolutely delicious. The fish was so fresh and great quality especially for the price. I also really liked the spicy crunch yellowtail roll with added jalapeño. The crazy maki roll was good too but I really preferred the simpler rolls - with such good quality ingredients, that’s where they really shine. I will absolutely be back here!!

Don’t judge the book by its cover. This place is basically in a gas station in a somewhat bad area (in my opinion) and I am so glad we gave it a shot anyway. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the service was fast! We ordered so many rolls (triple torch maki was the best, magic salmon maki, yellow fin maki, valentine maki, ocean maki and caterpillar maki), chicken teriyaki, Tom yum soup, edamame and spicy Kani salad. We finished every last bite with nothing to spare. There is one small table that can seat 5 people if needed (squeezing) but it’s mainly just a takeout spot. They bring it to your car if you ordered which is so nice. So glad I can check off eating at a gas station sushi joint off my bucket list 😂

Seriously the best sushi in the area. I had my first poke bowl here and loved it. I’ve ordered large orders of platters and got it in a timely manner. Definitely a whole lot better than any similarly (and overly) priced sushi from other locations. I love the care given to all the layouts for each dish <3

Don't be put off by the exterior. This place is fantastic. The food is amazing and the service is always friendly. Its takeout only so dont come prepared to sit. If you've never had their chicken katsu, why not? The sauce is incredible, I think its house made, you can taste every one of the warm flavorful spices. The chicken is light, crispy and juicy and fried to perfection. If sushi is your thing, you'll love it here. Everything is fresh and tastes so clean. Try the dragon ball for a party in your mouth.

Yes it's at a gas station, but don't let it fool you it was excellent, I'm not a raw sushi eater so I got cooked rolls one crab and one salmon. Get the extra sauces on the side..miso soup and gyoza, gyoza was crispy. I think after 50$ u get a free roll..they have speciality Japanese drinks...UPDATE REVEIW. My favorite item here right now is the Mexican jalapeno, deep fried,with crunchy crab and cream cheese..is the this place does not disappoint ordered dozen times and the food is consistent no matter how busy they are, they are truly artists at the maki roll, perfectly made!! super friendly too!!!
