Such a cute place! Stopped in on a whim with a few friends while in the area and had a great experience. Food was great, service was even better! Shout out to June at the counter— you really made our day!!!

I make a trip to Boston once or twice a year and I always go to Jamaica Plain and hit Ula Cafe for breakfast and or lunch. The staff is always cheery and welcoming. The cafe is black owned, locally owned and woman owned and very community driven. The food is always delicious and fresh and the iced matcha is delicious.

Nice little place. Turkey club was good. My 'friend' got the Vegan roasted veggie sandwich (pictured) which she she said was good. Food seemed really healthy so that's a big plus. 2 sandwiches a bag of chips and a bottle of coke for $30... sadly pretty close to normal these days but still seemed steep. Over $3 for a soda and over $3 for a small bag of chips. Seating is uncomfortable. Was pretty loud inside... Didn't love it but it's not my normal scene. I could see lots of people loving the place though. All that said it's a pretty nice place with a fairly small menu which indicates to me they can keep the food fresh. They have tons of options for drinks but that wasn't why we went there so don't know how good they are but I assume they are good. They have both vegetarian and vegan opti

Unfortunately not what it used to be. It’s insane to pay over $7 for a SMALL soy latte while the rude employee open-mouth chews food in my face while slumped over the counter, like I’m bothering them. Respectfully, check yourself. I used to work in the building five years ago and visited almost daily, and it was always chill with a solid crew. I’ve been twice now in the past two months and both times have been disappointing (the first time it took 25 minutes of waiting before they told me they were out of what I ordered). They also add a “kitchen appreciation fee” for all orders which is very minimal but feels ridiculous when this is the service that’s provided.

When you think of a neighborhood, community-oriented cafe, this is the shining example. Ula Cafe has lots of seating, homey art and pictures lining brick walls, and a vibe that is so comfy and lovely. Not to mention the scones which are just as good if not better than the other reviews claim! I’ve had lots of earl grey scones, but none as flavorful as this one, I could actually taste the tea and lavender strongly! The coffee was also great, at reasonable prices too. If you want a good place to study, do work, and have a phenomenal scone, Ula is the spot!
