Loved this place, the food was yummy, service was excellent, and even though it was super busy the food came out quickly! Anthony was our server, he was so good. He shared all about the menu and helped us pick the right items. It was a great experience, if you're in the area for sure check it out!
Server Hugh was great at explaining items on menu for me and very pleasant. I thought what items I ordered were legit and fresh as you can get. I will definitely be back with friends!
Love this place! Used to go all the way to Edison and now it’s convenient distance away. Recommend the soup dumplings, bao buns and kung pao chicken. The location is very modern and you can see people roll dumplings live inside the lab. The service was prompt and we got seated right away! Cannot wait to visit more often. Family and Kids Friendly and good for larger groups as well.
This was our first time at the Morris Plains location as it has just opened. We did try the Edison location and it did leave a lot to be desired. However, that was not the case here. What an excellent experience. Everything was delicious. We ordered the Spicy Chicken Wantons, Cream Cheese Rangoons, Salt & Pepper Chicken, Chicken Soup Dumplings, Shrimp Dumplings, Kimchi Chicken Dumplings (we were split in this one), Pork Truffle Soup Dumplings (my favorite), Mango Black Iced Tea, Passion Fruit Black Iced Tea and the Fortune Cookie Cheesecake. We had no complaints at all. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The vibe here beats Edison, which felt very cavernous and considering where we were sitting an afterthought. The Morris Plains location makes excellent use of the space, ther
We recently tried Ugly Dumpling and were so impressed that we went back the very next day. The atmosphere is beautiful — the space somehow feels much bigger than it is, and the open concept with the dumpling-making in the center adds such a fun, authentic touch. Everything came out hot, fresh, and incredibly fast. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken, pork soup dumplings, spicy chicken wontons, and steamed BBQ pork buns — and honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite. If I had to choose, the spicy chicken wontons were unbelievable. The noodles were so thin and delicate, and the flavor was absolutely perfect. We even brought our 20-month-old son the second time, and he loved watching them make the soup dumplings. He did great, and the environment felt welcoming and comfortable for families. W
