Ubuntu is a pleasure to eat at. West African inspired dishes. The flavor and spices in the food were a medley as beautiful as the music they were playing. I wanted to order practically the entire menu, but unfortunately, there were only two of us to eat. We started with the jollof arancini and it was so good. It only got better from there. The grilled cabbage had a flaky saltiness that made it hard to stop eating. My partner practically inhaled the red stew, and the lions mane pie was his favorite dish. He thought for sure it's be his least because he's not a huge fan of mushrooms, but he couldn't believe the flavors they made with it. The palm bisque started off bland, but with each sip, it grew in taste. It's my close favorite, too. The sweet potatoes had a fun texture. We were so full,

This place is exquisite! The garden and decor is gorgeous and I loved the tranquility of dining there. The host/waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered from the DineLA menu and the food was so tasty and perfectly spiced. I also loved the presentation. The rice balls were my personal favorite but everything was delicious. It's such a unique place and I highly recommend it.

A beautiful and delicious dining experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant and cozy, the food is excellent and served family-style, and the service was quick and friendly. When our drinks took a bit long to come out, we were given an additional dish on the house. Completely worth the trip!

The reason I gave this wonderful restaurant 4 stars is how the pricing escalates if you come with a group larger than 7. The first time I came with three, the cost was approximately $50.00 each w drinks ($147.00). Last night I came with 8 and the pricing increased 100%. For 8 people our bill came to $853.00, which came to $100+ per person, a 100% increase! I love this restaurant but the sticker shock at the end dampened our enjoyment.

Lived up to the hype!!! It was so fantastic. The flavor profiles and presentation were all amazing. We got the okra salad, jollof arancini, fonio grits, and peanut maffe. The okra wasn’t slimed at all and perfectly charred. The maffe was so so delicious and cozy tasting. Ibrahim was our server and he was impeccable as well. We had a great time.
