Twisted Hickory BBQ

The ribs were good but cant say much good about the chopped brisket sandwich. The meat was chopped to a pasty mush. Both top and bottom bun were SOAKED100% with an orange grease that soaked out of the meat on a ten min ride home. Not impressed.

The best family owned bbq place. I had the twisted nachos, my son had a twisted Tater and my mother in law had a chopped brisket sandwich. The prices are very reasonable, the food is full of flavor and the owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

They have earned the 4.9. Probably should be a 5. The food is exceptional and I don’t even like bbq. As I finished my sandwich I thought to myself “I can’t wait to eat here again.” I’ve never said that at a bbq place before. Owner was outside and talking to the patrons. Workers were extremely personable. Literally everything is right about this place. The fact that anyone gave them less than 5 stars is a travesty.

Ordered the twisted taters with chopped beef and half rack of ribs. Really healthy portions, taters soff but not mushy, beef perfectly tender, and tasty, barely sauced ribs. Well done! Great local spot if you're by Carthage.

We were in route from south Texas going home to Arkansas and spent the night in Cartidge. Found Twisted Hickory bar-b-que on line and decided to check it out, as we were craving some good Texas bar-b-que. Needless to say, the food at this place was awesome. Keith and Tina, the owners, were the most courteous and gracious hosts imaginable. And the brisket, ribs, and burnt ends were the absolute best we have had in a very long time. We would not for a minute hold back from recommending anyone to check out their awesome food. Please try them out!!
