Customer Reviews
Ive come here twice now and both times food was excellent. I loved my omlette. The challah french toast was good. The eggs dont go all the way through which my wife prefers but ill live. The food overall was wonderful. The waitress (older) first time rolled her eyes at me for my requests so i held off on reviewing as it would have been a negative. The second time another waitress was wonderful. So as long as you dont get grumpy old lady the place is great. I loved my omlette. Ill keep coming back.
The service was great, our waitress was efficient and well mannered ( wish I could remember her name). Pancakes and turkey sausage were good, the hot chocolate was more like warm yohoo, not my preference. But overall welcoming atmosphere.
Ample booth seating with additional seats at the bar. They had a very large menu that was a bit overwhelming offering a variety of foods including breakfast all day. We came at dinner time and were seated at a booth in the back. I found the food very average but portion sizes quite big. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar wrap which included tomatoes and lettuce. It did not have much of a Caesar taste and the chicken reminded me of the quality of what you might get at subway. I asked for dressing on the side and dipped it, only ate half of it. The rest of my party had the lamb gyro, corned beef ruben with a side of fries, and a breakfast platter. The servers and staff were friendly, food was served quickly. Portion sizes were big, if I were to come again I think I would stick just with the
Quality of food and service was a little disappointing. Menu was too large and not a lot of value in some of the piece. My soup was barley edible, side salad was uninspired, prime rib was fair (had to request horseradish), baked potato and carrots were meh, cake was decent but very questionable handle of cakes each time a slice is ordered. Would return but not sure I could recommend. Breakfast bacon and fake syrup were disappointing for a $16 price on the breakfast with no toast. Ceilings, walls, bathrooms and table booth could have all been cleaner.
This place is a Connecticut treasure it is by far the best diner in the entire state of Connecticut. I love the menu 😋
