I tried Tres Yan and Wu in Mount Laurel, NJ, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The restaurant itself is very nice and upscale, especially compared to most Chinese restaurants in the area. The space feels modern, clean, and elevated, which immediately sets higher expectations going in. The quality of the food is clearly good, and the flavors are bold and well developed. You can tell care goes into the cooking, and from a taste perspective, the food definitely delivers. That said, the pricing is significantly higher than your typical local Chinese spot, easily about double the price, and unfortunately it does not feel like it is twice as good. We enjoyed their Chinese New Year brunch, food was delicious and the stuff service was excellent, highly recommend.

Christmas eve dinner was perfect! Had the best steamed pork dumplings, hot n sour soup to start. Great flavors, not overly salted or greasy. Honey walnut shrimp and Mongolian lamb entrees were amazing! Great service, and despite being crazy busy the service was great! Will be back.

Dining facility looked very nice inside. We did take out. Ordered pad Thai with chicken, Kung pao chicken, Chinese pancakes and hot and sour soup. Opened the containers and the food looked amazing. But when we tasted it, we were very disappointed! Both me and my daughter looked at each other and said, do we have covid?! No flavor whatsoever so ever. Overwhelmingly oily was the main flavor of the dishes. This place came highly recommended. So dissatisfying. Maybe we got the cook in training?

Had this Chinese food for the first time. The food quality was good and fresh. It’s a bit pricey for take out. We got two spring rolls and two shrimp dishes for $57. The portions were decent but definitely less than other restaurants.
