The ambiance is very welcoming as you enter the restaurant. As soon as the bartender acknowledged us, it was with a warm smile . The food, oh the food😋 well seasoned, properly cooked and that jerk sauce…. BABYYYY, it’s to die for. I had to buy a bottle (P.S It took me some convincing her lol) but they obliged. The owner also puts her two cents in and as it was a birthday dinner party, she was hands on. I’ll definitely be doing more dinners and definitely gonna so a party there since that’s also available 👍🏼🥰. Tropical Island Spice owes me nothing.

Shamiel truly stands out as a fantastic bartender! The ambiance and food were absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this spot. When I visited on a Saturday to watch the Knicks, she provided exceptional service and created a great vibe. I definitely plan to return and make this my go-to bar for future games! 🍻

Had the rice and peas felt a bit dry (I didn’t ask if they offer sauce/gravy as solution), and the Jerk Shrimp is the best I had within the area (must try). Bartender was amazing and punctual; they make amazing drinks with beautiful presentations. Nice selection of drinks; both custom for the restaurant and classic cocktails. This location offers Rum Punch, Buckets of Beer and Big Screens to watch a Sport Game. You will have the opportunity to play darts and pool as well. Met the owner, and got good impression. This restaurant also offers Taco Tuesdays & Happy Hour (Wednesday-Friday 4pm to 7pm). Check it out for yourself, and bring your friends, host a party or go for a solo bite to eat.

What a hidden gem! Today was my second time ordering and both times I was so absolutely pleased! The first time I tried the oxtail, rice and peas, and jerk wings and they were delicious. Today I ordered brown stew chicken, cabbage and rice and peas and it was excellent! SO well-seasoned for this island gyal! My order today was through Grub Hub and I forgot to add my plantains, I called the restaurant and asked to add them to my order and the manager was so kind as to include them for no cost! I truly appreciate great customer service teamed with amazing food! I will be back again and again and again! Telling a friend to tell a friend! Thank you, Tropical Island Spice!

Really good food. Has a bar and lounge next door which is great for after work or weekends when you want to stay local. Friendly staff and decent prices. Food and drinks are good as well.
