Trina & Cello's Bed and Breakfast

This place is unsafe! There was no way to lock the doors in this location. When I arrived I was not given a key to the front door and was told to leave it unlocked for other guests. I was given a key to the front gate, but the gate door had been propped open with a traffic cone. I was initially told that I would not be receiving a key to the bedroom I would be staying in either, but one was found and given to me. However the lock on the door did not actually work. The bedroom door could simply be pushed open even when the door was "locked". Before I realized the door could not lock, I left my belongings in my room and left for a few hours. Trina and Cello are truly so amazing and helpful. If I could give them six stars I would. Their place is admittedly small, but it is cozy and for the price it is a complete steal. I saved a lot while staying with Trina and a Cello, and I enjoyed my time here. I leave in a couple days but I’ve been here for the past few and they have been absolutely lovely to me and so kind! Wonderful hosts, tasteful and well cared for home, and a good location to commute from.

This stay was a nightmare! You better stay away from that place! - there was no breakfast, which we were only told when we arrived - they do not accept credit cards Payment only possible via venmo (Which nobody told us in advance) As we could not download the app, the owner made us (two girls) walk to the nearest grocery store in the middle of the night, to get cash at the ATM. When we asked him, if it is safe to walk around outside at this time, he only recommended us to hide our phones. - the room was dirty. The carpet was full of hair and dust, the bedsheets smelled disgustingly and had stains on them. Further, we had cockroaches in our room! - the owner is extremely aggressive! When we told them about the roaches and asked them to take care of this problem, he did not reply to our mes

I never got to experience this place. I got a last minute cancellation from them because they were double booked. Now, I am screwed because I booked that room for my partner's birthday, and I can't reserve elsewhere. My money is now in limbo for 10 days, and I can't afford to book a room this late in the game. It was a day before our reservation they called to cancel. And they didn't want to tell me personally what happened, they had a calling service tell me what happened. And its not like I can refund every plans I had for that night. I booked trips and reservation based around my booking. I don't know what I can do now. This is so last minute. I can't believe they did this to me. Do not book here. They cancel plans in a manner that makes it impossible to make changes to go elsewhere. T

No AC in the bedroom, almost impossible to sleep in LA heat. Dirty sheets. No drinking water at the dispenser. No keys for the room and the house was always unlocked, so everyone could just walk in.
