Trattoria I Trulli

Our friend recommended that we visit when I spoke to him about going to the coast from Poway for dinner. I'm so glad we did! Parking was easy at 430pm on Sunday. We made a reservation and were greeted warmly & seated with warm bread & a very delicious red dipping sauce with a bit of a spicy taste! We finally narrowed our choices down to lobster ravioli & a salmon dish that were even better that we expected! Everything tasted wonderfully homemade & was presented beautifully! Ample portions and we each had a glass of wine & water. Staff was very attentive but not intrusive at all. We really enjoyed everything and were curious about the photos on the walls that added to the Italian flavors & ambiance so we did a little checking and learned what Trulli meant. The food is fresh. The Ossobuco was the best. RISOTTO was perfect. Prices are fair. Basic furnishings good service

We have been there twice snd food has been delicious and homemade. Very tasty and fresh. I would definitely recommend. Pedro provided us with great service and another waiter too. They gave us great recommendations. If you visit Encinitas and have not been there- it’s worth dining there . Reservations recommend

Excellent flavor on the Veal Piccata, small portion, could have been more veg considering $37. Gnocchi was a 3.5 out of 5, good but not amazing. Nice cozy spot, great service.

If you’re looking for fresh, authentic Italian cuisine this place is it! These pastas transported us right back to Italy. Such a lovely neighborhood spot and quick service
