Tratto | Avalon Park

Decided to give Tratto a try since they have good reviews. The appetizers were very good. We had the Sour Dough Bread, Beef Carpaccio and Calamari. The main dishes (Cheese Wheel Pasta and Chicken Parm) were just ok for us. The pasta with the Chicken Parm was very good but the chicken itself was very salty. I'll admit the Cheese Wheel Pasta is a very cool side show. It also looked amazing going onto the plate. But, literally after just a few minutes the pasta became what I can best describe as gluey. It all stuck together and just became a big clump. We ate what we could and did not complain. Needless to say the atmosphere is nice. Service was on point. I may give them another try but would order different dishes than what we ordered this time.

The customer service is incredible!!!!! Like awesome. The food TOP NOTCH! Don’t go to sleep on the ratatouille. It seems heavy, but it’s so light and refreshing.The food was super savory. Spice where you needed it, savory where you needed it, sweet where you needed it. Food portions are insane making the price spot on. Can easily share a plate if you are on a budget and leave with a happy belly. Everything is made in house and fresh. Detroit pizza is a family favorite to order on the go for those nights we are busy with school and sports. Makes life easy and yummy. Don’t go to sleep on this Avalon Park gem!

The space is clean but my seating was in the back overlooking their to go boxes. Service was great, and staff was friendly. The pizza was delicious, we got both a chicago style and thin pizza. The sangria was also refreshing. The pasta however fell short for us. The cheese wheel pasta was very bland, chewy and wet not in a good way. The truffle shuffle ravioli flavor was good but the pasta was a bit too al dente and tasted a bit too oily for me personally.

Staff was friendly and responsive. Location was not as nice as I was expecting. Nothing bad, just needed some TLC. Now for the important part. The Food. YES! Appetizers Carpaccio Di Manzo, very good, would have liked more bread, but still well worth it. Main Cheese Wheel Pasta Simple and clean taste. Very nice and the kids loved it. Spaghetti and meatballs. Great flavor and very herby flavor to the meatballs. Braised short rib, arborio rice & salsa Definitely my pick for the night. Rich flavors that blended perfectly.

Tratto was absolutely amazing. I’m pretty picky and everything was way more than satisfying. Our server. Marcos was exceptionally friendly and delightful. He gave great suggestions and really knew the menu as well as really seemed to just love the venue.. so happy that this is very close to us. We will absolutely be back and look forward to becoming regulars. This is a must visit.❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
