Tozier's Restaurant

We arrived at 215 after driving an hour and a half from Craftsbury, waited 20 minutes for a table ( that’s fine we knew we would have to wait), by that time I’ve counted only 11 tables occupied all have already been served. It’s currently 415, I’m still in the dining room waiting with my children to be served and have been told repeatedly that the food will be out in a minute. I’m not one to walk out after ordering food but come on…. The dinner rush is already starting and we have only been brought the side salads that are supposed to come with our meals. Update… our food came and less then 10 minutes later boxes were put on our table, then the check.

Great spot if you have a craving for fried seafood and don't want to drive to the coast.

The food used to be a lot better, they try and it's not too bad but not like it used to be 🙄

Tozier's Restaurant appears to have indoor dining which I would have preferred. However, it was hard to tell if they did or didn't due to the signage out front. I ended up going to the take out line and ordered 1 scoop of Black Main Bear in a cup. The ice cream was a bit grainy, but had an overall good flavor. In addition, I ordered the Haddock plate to go. The fish was a good portion and well cooked. It was dipped in a batter and deep fried. The fries that came with it were on the salty side, but cooked perfectly crisp. The served the fish on the top of the fries which made some of the fries slightly soggy. If you hate soggy fries. Order them on a separate plate. Overall the fries were crispy, but too salty for me. Wonderful service, large portions, and nice Vermont sporting atmosphere. The food was top-notch for reasonable prices. Photo was after I'd already had some of the fried whole belly clams.
