I met a friend here for lunch a few days ago, the food the service the environment was amazing! We sat and chatted for 20 to 30 minutes and the waiter was so patient with us. We finally had to stop talking long enough to look at the menu, he got the lasagna and I got the eggplant pasta, I had to take a bite of his because it looks so amazing. Both were absolutely delicious And generous portions. The bread was fresh and the drinks were also delicious. I got a glass of wine and my friend got a beer. We sat and chatted after our meal and the waiter did not pressure us to leave. We sat outside and just enjoyed the sun. It was a greatexperience to people watch as well! I absolutely loved the food here! I have a very refined taste, and this place was exactly what I needed to satisfy my taste buds. I’d highly recommend it. Edit – Second Visit: However, during my second visit, the experience was disappointing. My husband and I were seated indoors, but we were bitten badly by mosquitoes, which forced us to change our table. To make things worse, one of the waiters kept giving us unfriendly looks throughout. Additionally, one of the glasses had a strong, unpleasant odor. almost like that of a wet dog. My legs are rashed up. Uploading pictures of inflammation caused due to bites.

It's a nice place, and the waitresses are friendly. However, the lasagna was not as good as expected from such a nice restaurant. In summary, the price and quality are moderate.

Toscanova at the Commons in Calabasas is a solid four star restaurant. The food is good, though not exceptional, and falls more into the category of reliable than remarkable. We had a pizza that was pretty good and a salad that was fresh and well done, but neither stood out as something you would rush back for. That said, everything was certainly enjoyable and competently prepared. The real strength here is the service, which was attentive, professional, and made the meal feel easy and comfortable. This place has A LOT OF POTENTIAL! Atmosphere is great, food is amazing. So why 3 star you may ask? Because of service! You walk in they seat you, the waiter disappears for solid 30 minutes. someone brings bread to your table but not the olive oil and balsamic. I had to get up and get it from one of the tables at a fine dining restaurant because the bread would get cold by the time someone checked on us. The waiter finally comes after exactly 30 minutes, gets the order and disappears again. Maybe someone asked us if we need anything once during the whole night. If this was a long weekend, or even a weekend I get it. It was Wednesday evening, the restaurant is busy, which means they are doing something right, but 3-4 waiters are trying to serve 25-30 tables, and they are not that well train
