Torretta's Bakery & Ice Cream

It's what I was looking for when I came to Boston. A family owned business not trying to rip you off, but with good food. Has the small business atmosphere with history inside. This is my favorite all around sweet spot. And no I haven't had everything on menu but I've had enough to know good pastries and homemade ice cream.

Torretta’s Bakery & Ice Cream is a true standout in Beachmont, Revere, MA, and one of those rare places that does everything well. Conveniently located just steps from the Beachmont stop on the MBTA Blue Line, it’s incredibly easy to get to whether you’re a local, coming from Boston, or just passing through the area. I pre ordered a cake for my first year engagement celebration at this location. They said they would be able to make it look like the picture I provided. Boy was I wrong. When I got there I realize after I left and got home that they forgot about my cake. Not only did they forget about my cake they rushed to make it. I got home opened the cake to udder disappointment. Reason I couldn’t open it at the location was because they wrapped it in extra twine to hide the cake. The letters were off center and none of the frosting on he side was put correctly. The words looked like a kindergarten wrote it and it wasn’t even shaped like a heart. They even tried to charge me more because it was heart shaped. I will never be going to this establishment. Best baked goods in town, no question. Everyone’s been really nice every time I’ve been in. I’ll take this place over Modern and Mike’s any day.

Nailed the lobster tail! This place has been around for a while and the quality of the food has always been spot on and it still is. Everything is always so fresh and the service is friendly. I drive 40 min to go there over going to the bakery down the street
