Torres Cafe and Catering

The best Puerto Rican food outside my Mom’s kitchen is this place. When I go visit my Godmother at a nursing home in Matawan, I stop here and take her a plate. Today’s arroz con gandules was perfection. They had five pasteles - which i bought and I was back in my Mom’s kitchen Christmas day. I wish my godmothers nursing home could get food from here. She used to be the queen of pasteles de yucca. Even though Torres was not yucca, they passed the taste test from Ana with an empty plate. Thank you Torres cafe for making authentic Puerto Rican cuisine worthy of my Godmother Ana’s approval.

Absolutely amazing , brings me right back to PR . Food is always great and delicious. Excellent service. Owners Carlos and Liz are the most amazing friendly people. I have been coming here for about 3 years and not once have I ever been disappointed. Highly recommend hitting up Torres Café for you Boricua needs ❤️🇵🇷

We ordered a great deal of different entrees and all was absolutely delicious. I am so lucky to have an incredible indonesian restaurant so close to me.

This place has great Puerto Rican food ! They have the staples, arroz con gandules and they also have Surrullitos, Moricillas, Cuajitos, tostones de Pana and PASTELES ! The staff are friendly and ready to serve. We were served by Julietta, who was very friendly and quick to take our order and return with everything we ordered. This is not a big place so take out may be best option. Great little restaurant - SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES.

OMG!!!! As a Puerto Rican raised in Puerto Rico I swear I was in my grandma's kitchen all over again. When you speak about authentic Puerto Rican Food Torres Cafe hits it right on at 100%. We drove 50 minutes from north jersey and it was worth every mile and penny spent. Thank you so much for a memorable experience. Mi Gente!!! We will be back soon!!!
