Torchy's Tacos

My husband was excited to try this. He is a taco is aficionado. I saw the bowls and was stoked about that. We were not thrilled with having to order st the screen. It would have been helpful to have a person to ask questions. My husband was less thrilled with the menu. As a taco connoisseur he said ‘I don’t understand this menu’. It was kinda funny. Definitely not street tacos. He couldn’t figure out what to order. So we both got the bowls. And they were very good. I would get that all the time. The price point for the portion was awesome. Service was a bit slow considering there were only 4 people in the place.

This is my favorite spot! I tried Torchy's a few months ago and have been hooked ever since. Ive visited locations in north Carolina while visiting family and also been to the one in Richmond twice. I can confidently say that this is the best Torchy's out there! The food is amazing every time no matter what you get and is the exact same everytime you visit. The staff has always been nothing but friendly and welcoming. It is ALWAYS clean and the service is quick. The tortilla chips are the best! I recommend the Hillbilly Queso, the Trailer Park taco trashy, and the crossroads. Ive tried both quesos and 7 different types of tacos, you really cant go wrong! 10/10 I recommend to everybody!

Big shoutout to one of the best taco spots in Charlottesville, VA—Torchy’s Tacos near Trader Joe’s! I’ve been here before and it never disappoints. Their tacos are packed with flavor and there’s a huge variety to choose from. This visit was extra special thanks to a kind older gentleman working there—he may not have spoken much English, but his warm smile and surprise chips & salsa made our day. Can’t wait to come back!

I placed a take out order at 11:30, thinking I would leave at 11:45 to meet my friend by noon. Right after I placed my order, I realized I was meeting my friend at 1pm. The kitchen halted making my order even though they had started the first taco and made it an hour later so the food was fresh. Very friendly and accommodating.

First time customers ! You Order at counter and sit , (unless you sit at the bar you can get full service ) which is what we did . Jenny was our bartender and was great ! Food was ok, drinks were really good and not weak. Service and location were great. Overall , surprisingly good experience for a chain restaurant
